Supplier selection and management:
Our suppliers are carefully considered after a thorough inspection and assessment of their farms, orchards and packing houses.
All areas of operations are inspected to guarantee that high phytosanitary and general hygiene standards are observed and practiced both in the farms and packing houses.
These phytosanitary and hygiene standards must be present and contained within a comprehensive preventative control plan that is created in conjunction with CFIA ,USDA, and SENASICA standards and guidelines.
To eliminate the possiblity of cross contamination from differently sourced avocados we ensure that all our suppliers have their own packing houses in close proximity to their orchards.
Our suppliers soil and trees are tested and documented regularly to ensure that all pesticides and fungicides used are within acceptable tolerance levels and are only from the approved list of pesticides and fungicides provided by the USDA, SENASICA and CFIA.
Quality Assurance
Our suppliers undergo regular lab testing as well to guarantee their dry matter content and that they are free of physical viral, fungal, and bacterial contaminants.
Quality testing is done on every harvest of avocados to guarantee taste, texture, and ripeness that are at a high level of quality. Only the best harvests are chosen for export to our buyers here in British Colombia.
These results are documented and are readily available upon requested for.
